Acuigen - Genetics for Aquaculture and Conservation Biological resources

Acuigen group of the University of Santiago de Compostela Genetics Department, is a team with a wide range of experience whose trajectory began in 1987. The group is a member of the USC Aquaculture Institute, registered in the Investigation group List of the Public System of Galicia I+D+i. Acuigen has been a member of the Group of Competitive Investigation in the Galician University system since 2006.

Acuigen's scientific work is centered on Genetics topics and applications to the aquaculture and the conservation of biological resources. Its activity is supported by numerous publications in international journals and by an important number of public projects and contracts with companies.

Its Scientific activity is targetted at the Technological Transfer to Companies and Administrations related to aquaculture and the environment.
